Evaluation

My final animation actually turned out very well I'm pleased with the final outcome even though it took several attempts to complete. I changed my idea to make it easier to create it should have been a puzzle sort of thing but I changed it to what it is now, it reminds me of a flicker billboard that you would see at a football game. The first thing I did when I thought of this idea was print 3 images of cars off and cut them into tiny squares to put it together like a puzzle, each image step by step frame by frame. The only flaw I came across doing this was that after I cut each image up into small squares it was almost impossible to fix back together without leaving gaps. after a while I re-thought my idea and decided to put the 3 car images behind each other and just cut them to a certain point so that I didn't have to put them back and it left no gaps. This worked out so I went on to take my images to produce my final animation. For this process I just folded down each image and then took a picture. After I took all my images I was ready to make my animation on after affects, this program took a while to get used to but I got through it easily enough. After my animation was complete and run through smoothly I added a colour overlay to my images to see how it looked for this I used a cmyk colour scheme this looked pretty cool and I was happy so I decided to keep it as my final outcome. It was very time consuming and had trouble getting audio on but overall it worked out to my advantage and I am very pleased that it is all completed and over with. It was a excellent project just very time consuming and not enough time to complete the final project but that's just my opinion because I had so many problems.

New idea

Once again I have changed my idea due to computer difficulties i.e crashing . my new idea is a flicker image like moving billboards, I have drawn over 3 cars on illustrator and cut then into small squares these will be the movement of my animation. I will create this effect by taking images of the cars squares moving and changing into the newer model. Then I will put the images on after affects and tweak certain areas.

Sticky notes

I've got this image because sticky nots are what I'm using to create my final animation it will be a timeline of cars which i will draw out by hand and use stop motion to put it all together. My plan is to hopefully to draw a old car moving across the sticky pad transforming into a new car e.g old front then a bit newer and each time getting more and more modern to eventually end up a brand new sports car .

Research

Wallace and gromit is probably the most famous stop motion ever it has been running for over 30 years and has inspired me to create my animation using stop motion . Wallace and gromit were made by Nick Park and bob baker. Bob only created the plots for the animation while Nick created the modals from clay. The production was made in Wigan in England. The running time for each episode was 30 mins films. The technique used for this was stop motion this means that after the models were created they would move them slowly while taking images of them this creates the illusion of movement .
